Health and Sanitation

This is important to us and our clients. A cancellation fee of $25 will be charged. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone with inflamed skin, and scalp issues.

Establishment

Hair should be clean and product free for your Sisterlock® to be established. Clients are encouraged to bring reading materials, electronic devices, pillows (one for the head and one to sit on) blankets, snacks or anything that will make the client more comfortable. Please be aware a complete establishment can take 2-3 days. However, variables such as hair condition, length, density and number of hours worked per day.

Cancellation, No-Show & Tardiness

When an appointment is forgotten or cancelled without giving enough notice (48 hours), the opportunity to fill that time is missed, and other clients may miss the opportunity to receive services. Appointments are confirmed 48 hours in advance because it can be quite easy to forget an appointment. It is understood that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary, therefore a 24-hour notice is respectfully requested. Failure to do so will result in a $25 cancellation fee which will, in addition to your regular service charge, be collected at the beginning of your next appointment.

A 14 min grace is given for tardiness, after 15 min a $10 late fee will be charged after 30 min the appointment shall be cancelled!

No-Shows attract the same $25 penalty one may result in the termination of the consultant-client relationship. Clients who are 30 minutes late for an appointment, may be asked to reschedule their appointment. (Conditions apply)

Mz. Jhay reserves the rights to take photographs and videos of our work for advertisement or promotional usages. (No monetary consideration shall be given)

Payment

Cash, Zelle, Apple Pay and pre-approved personal checks are the only acceptable payment at present.

To secure your establishment appointment you will be required to make a nonrefundable retainer of $250, which will be applied to your establishment cost, this is done because blocking my calendar for a specific time does not allow others to schedule services. Half the additional amount is to be paid after the first session with the remainder due upon completion.

Consultation

Hair must be loose with no braids or cornrows and freshly washed no more than 48 hours before the scheduled consultation. Hair should not be blown dry or contain any products I.e. grease, oil, jams, butters or sprays. Your consultation will be rescheduled at the convenience of the consultant if any products are used prior to your appointment. All prices quoted at consultation are good for 30 days unless otherwise agreed upon between client and consultant.

Follow-up Visits

Retightening visits are determined by the growth rate and type of the individuals hair, typically 4-6 weeks. Failure to adhere to a regular time schedule not only effects the retightening period but also can have an effect on the condition of the hair such as breakage, matting and other undesired results cause by irregular maintenance. Mz. Jhay will not be held responsible for these results if conditions outlined are not followed. If a newly established client decides to not keep the appointed return for retie, the regular retie fee shall be applicable.

Hair must be freshly washed within a 48 hour period and separated prior to set appointments. Frequent cancellation of appointments, no-show and failure to adhere to instruction can result in clients being released from the business agreement.

Grooming and Repairs

These services attract an additional fee and may require a separate session which will be priced at an hourly rate of $45.

Transfer Clients

All clients who are not established by Mz. Jhay are transfer clients and must have a consultation before a retightening will be given. This is done to access the condition of the hair and make any recommendations if needed. At this time the client is encouraged to discuss any issues or concerns. A $45 consultation fee will be charged and is nonrefundable. If the client or the consultant decide that Mz. Jhay is not the right consultant the consultation fee is nonrefundable.
